This Amesbury Truth Hardware patio door locks are made from high-impact plastic with a 5/16" diameter steel pin. The pin extends out a 1/2" further when locked. Whether you're looking for a patio door lock replacement part or an additional safety measure, this Amesbury Truth Hardware secondary patio door lock is spring-loaded, equipped with a strong acetal body, and engineered for easy lock engagement and release. Tested to withstand approximately 400 lbs of force, the secondary patio door lock limiter effectively prevents forced entry. At the same time, the spring-loaded lock simultaneously allows the door to be opened swiftly from the inside for easy exit in the event of an emergency.
